Kulcha King, which is renowned for serving Amritsari (Punjab region) cuisine in the UAE, has set its sights on opening 14 new branches.

The expansion plans will witness the brand’s growth in UAE and GCC along with overseas openings in the UK and India.

Vicky Sethi, managing director of King Group Hospitality also envisions 52 express models of Kulcha King over the next three years and is hoping to take the brand to the UK and India by 2018.

Sethi commented: “Indian cuisine is among the top five in the world. Our mission is to have a global presence right from the beginning, and we are steadily working towards that.”

The casual dining concept debuted in Dubai in 2010 with a team of three individuals, generating a turnover of US $0.82 million (AED 3 million).

Today, the group has grown to include 10 outlets in the UAE, with a combined staff of 300 and a projected year-end turnover of US $7.35 million (AED 27 million).

The group is putting in efforts to improve its back-end infrastructure to supplement the expansion plans. Sethi and his team are on track to open a central kitchen with a warehouse of 25,000 ft2 in the first quarter of 2016.
