A new general manager for Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa and King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton has been appointed.

Elias J. Moukarzel has been appointed as general manager for Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa and King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton.

The properties managed by Hilton welcomed Elias J. Moukarzel, in the capacity of general manager in late October of 2015.

"This is an exciting move for me and I am delighted to come back to Jordan. I consider Jordan my second home, as I have previously lived and worked in the Dead Sea," said Moukarzel. "I am honoured to join and lead a great team full of talents. Our main objective is to build on the success of the convention centre and open the first Hilton-branded hotel in Jordan; Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa. We look forward to creating many memorable experiences for our guests."

Moukarzel received his Hospitality Management Higher National Degree and his Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), specialising in hotel management from "Ecole Hôtelière de Toulouse", France and "Ecole de Savignac", France respectively.

He started his career in food and beverage and progressed to take managerial positions in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan and Lebanon.

Moukarzel moved to Jordan to manage the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton and the soon to open Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa, following his previous appointment as general manager at Hilton Capital Grand Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa is projected to open in 2016 and will offer 285 rooms, fully equipped with modern technology and amenities.
