A range of budget and luxury hotels by Dubai operator Roda Hotels are set to launch in 2016, with more in the pipeline across coming years.

Roda Hotels has reported many new projects in the pipeline, boosting its Middle East portfolio in coming years, with over 4000 rooms under development across 12 projects in both luxury and budget properties.

The company which started two years ago as the hospitality arm of Dubai International Real Estate or DIRE has expanded since its inception.

"In the first two years we have been extremely lucky due to the excellent services and location; we have achieved 85% occupancy at our two properties in Jumeirah Beach Residence," says Roda Hotels chief executive officer Imad W. Elias.

He also stressed the need for providing more affordable hotels to customers in the emirate.

An official statement said Roda has a number of developments currently available and soon to launch, including a range of budget hotels, scheduled for opening in mid-2016.

"Frankly speaking we believe in three- and four-star hotels so that Dubai will become more affordable for everyone; Dubai has too many five-star hotels" he added.

Roda Hotels is also currently embarking on a luxury US$1.09 billion (Dh4 billion) mega development in Dubai's historic district of Deira.

"The first phase is about 80% complete which is seeing the development of the island on the creekone of the longest swimming pool in the world a five-star hotel luxury one- two- and three-bedroom apartments a marina and waterfront consisting of 20 restaurants."

Elias said phase one will "definitely" finish and be opened in August 2017 with the rest coming online every year after - in time for Expo 2020 in Dubai."

Roda Hotels will be managing more than 4500 room keys following the completion of all its projects by 2018.
