Dubai Outlet Mall, part of Dubailand, has today opened a 250m² ice skating rink completing its range of leisure facilities.

The ice rink is part of the 5000m² Chuck E Cheese’s (CEC’s) family entertainment centre, a US-based franchise company that opened its first Dubai venue in the Outlet Mall on June 1.

The ice rink opening was delayed until July because of some technical problems.

CEC’s also offers around 150 different amusements and simulation games, a four-lane bowling alley and freshly prepared food and beverage options.

It is the second CEC’s in the Middle East, said operations manager Sameh Lotfi.

The first one — and one of the biggest out of the 500 CEC’s worldwide — is in the Jeddah Corniche.

The franchise is looking at opening more branches in the region, said Lotfi.
