Centro Capital Centre has become the first Centro brand to be granted the ISO 14001:2004 certificate.
The certificate means the hotel services and operations are in compliance with environmental management systems matching international standards.
Centro Capital Centre adheres to the environmental policy, and advocates socially and environmentally sustainable business practices to create an eco-friendly place for its guests and colleagues.
“Being the first Centro Brand within Rotana hotels to get the environmental certification, exemplifies our dedication to maintain quality and a high-level of service, including the areas of high-quality food safety and environmental management,” said Ayman Ashor, general manager of Centro Capital Centre.

A year of preparation and six months of monitoring and evaluating the hotel’s performance were necessary to establish a continuous monitoring system for the sustainable development by the hotel’s staff.
Special attention was rendered to eight areas: Production and service of food and beverage, implementation of a policy of sustainable development, energy, water, paper consumption, waste management, use of cleaning products and a commitment to the local community.
ISO 14001 is an international standard that provides a set of standardised requirements for environmental management systems. Companies gain certification by implementing policies, procedures and systems that follow and meet ISO standards, which are assessed by a third-party certification body.
