Kempinski will open properties in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon this year.
The 119-year-old German hotel operator said in a statement it would open three other properties: one each in Italy, China and Ghana. The pipeline has a further 33 projects – including the Kempinski Hotel The Wave Muscat, Oman, and the Kempinski Hotel Riga, Latvia, both expected to be opened in the first half of the year 2017.
The Kempinski Al Othman Hotel Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia will have 218 rooms and suites (141 rooms and 57 suites) along with 20 apartments with hotel service. As many as nine restaurants, cafés and bistros will be present in the hotel.
The Saudi Arabian hotel will be located in the business centre of the city, and will have conference rooms, two banquet halls, business centre wellness centre and spa. The hotel is set to open in Q2 2016.

The Lebanon property is set to open in the second quarter of 2016 as well. The Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort Beirut, Lebanon will feature 153 rooms and suites occupying a built up area of 65,000 square metre.
The hotel will have two restaurants serving international and Lebanese cuisine along with a bar. The hotel also features a 5,000 square metre private beach, a 47-berth marina, a spa, swimming pools and other water sport activities.
