Middle East hotels posted occupancy levels at 70.2% in February, representing a drop of 5.3% compared to the same period last year.

Combined with a fall in average daily rate (ADR) by 10.5% to US $182.45, revenue per available room (RevPAR), fell 15.2% to $128.12.

Dubai hotels saw a 3.5% decrease in occupancy to 82.5% in February and an 11.6% drop in ADR to due to hotel room supply growth outpacing demand.

Meanwhile, hotels in Beirut reported a 1.9% decrease in occupancy to 48.4%, and hotels in Egypt reported occupancy was down 8.6% to 43.1%.
