Oman Tourism completed a four leg workshop tour in Dubai with a view to promote its summer packages from mid-May to September.

The ‘Discover Oman’s Beauty’ campaign was part of a regional initiative from the Ministry of Tourism, Oman to promote a range of summer visitor packages to the Sultanate.

Working in partnership with Oman Air and a number of travel agencies and hotels in Oman, the workshop was also conducted in three cities in Saudi Arabia - Al Khobar, Riyadh and Jeddah.

Several hotels and agencies participated in the workshop, such as The Safwat, Zahra and Razan travel agencies, Al Bustan Palace, Ritz Carlton, Six Senses Spa Zighy Bay, Park Inn Muscat, Al Nahda Resort and Spa, The Chedi Muscat, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah and the Intercontinental Muscat.

Speaking at the workshop, Salem Al Mamari, director general of tourism promotion at the Ministry of Tourism, Oman said: “This new promotional campaign reflects our strong commitment to ensuring we create a new and innovative range of promotions that are attractive to visitors from the GCC – and especially in key markets like Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The main objective of this campaign is to highlight the natural beauty and the rich heritage and civilization of the Sultanate and to promote the amazing variety and experiences that Oman has to offer that makes it such an attractive tourism destination for visitors from all over the globe."

He added: “We are now aiming to reinforce and grow the presence of the Sultanate in regional markets where we have enjoyed constant growth and have partnered with Oman Air once again to create this exciting range of competitive packages to attract even more GCC visitors during the summer months.

“Oman attracted more than one million visitors from the GCC last year and through our workshop introducing the new offers to our travel agent partners in the UAE and Saudi Arabia to promote to their customers."
