Mubadala showcased Al Maryah Island's latest addition - Abu Dhabi’s first Four Seasons Hotel - at last week's Arabian Travel Market (ATM).

Mubadala Real Estate & Infrastructure vice president – business development Hasan Jassim Al Nowais told Hotelier Middle East that the five-star hotel was "the highlight" of its offering at ATM.

Scheduled to open this month, Four Seasons Abu Dhabi will expand the hospitality offering on Al Maryah Island, which Mubadala has master planned.

The hotel features 200 guest rooms, 38 suites and some residential properties. Its six F&B offerings includes Café Milano, the sister location of the award-winning Washington DC restaurant and the first to open outside of the US.

Al Nowais added that the hotel will also house another US import among its F&B line-up, a steakhouse called Butcher & Still, which is a concept from Chicago.

Asked about overall ROI with the Four Seasons launch, he revealed: “As every other hotel, it will definitely take a couple of years for the hotel to stabilise. Post that, we will definitely see the return on our investment.”

At ATM, which took place at Dubai World Trade Centre, Mubadala also showcased five-star hotel Rosewood Abu Dhabi; luxury shopping and dining destination The Galleria; and mixed-use development and shopping centre Al Maryah Central - all of which are located on Al Maryah Island.

Speaking about the destination's desirability, Mubadala Real Estate and Infrastructure executive director Ali Eid Al Mheiri existing hospitality outlets on Al Maryah Island "have already attracted global recognition" and that, since it opened in 2013, Rosewood Abu Dhabi has "established itself as a key pillar in Abu Dhabi’s hospitality sector”.
