Emaar Hospitality Group has revealed that sites in major European capitals could be next on the cards for the hotel group.
During ATM in Dubai, Emaar Hospitality Group director of operations Chris Newman revealed that the group is eyeing European capitals for a potential debut into the European market.
“We are looking at key gateway cities. We are looking at London, Rome. We are looking at cities were opportunities lie,” Newman said during a conference at ATM last month.
In conversation with Hotelier Middle East, Emaar Hospitality Group corporate director of business development Jaidev Menezes confirmed that Emaar is looking at potential Europeansites.
“Europe is a huge opportunity for us,” Menezes told Hotelier. “We want to be able to enter markets that are feeder markets for the Middle East, which will continue to build our platform in Dubai," he continued.
"So logically, markets like London, Paris, Rome, are important markets for us to be in. The company has been looking for the right opportunity, the right partner, the right project.”
