Hilton Worldwide has signed a new management agreement with United Tower Real Estate W.L.L. for a new DoubleTree by Hilton property, expected to open in 2019.
It will be located on Dilmunia Island, which is currently under construction off the coast of Bahrain.
DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Bahrain Dilmunia Island will offer 237 serviced apartments, divided between studio, one and two bedroom apartments. The property will feature three dining outlets (an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby café and a pool café). Also available at the new hotel will be leisure facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, health club and salon, plus meeting rooms, a boardroom and a business centre.
Hilton Worldwide vice president of development, Middle East & North Africa Carlos Khneisser said: “With more than 70% of our Middle East pipeline currently under construction, Hilton’s presence is growing rapidly across the region. The project at Dilmunia Island will be an outstanding addition to the Hilton portfolio in the Middle East, and further enhance Bahrain as a hugely popular destination for travellers to the region.”
