General manager Michael Kasch has been awarded the manager of the year award, after taking the reins of Rotana Centro Sharjah only two years ago.
The recently held Rotana Annual Conference at Park Rotana Abu Dhabi saw Centro Sharjah general manager Michael Kasch awarded ‘Manager of the Year’ in the company wide award ceremony.
Speaking with Hotelier Express about the accomplishment, Kasch said: “It was very much unexpected – especially as I’m running a hotel in Sharjah, but the results here have been very impressive in the last two years and we continue to see growth with high occupancy and increasing rates.”
He continued: “Both Rotana and our owners are happy. Our audits make sure we are doing the right thing in every department and every time we score highly – in fact, top five in the company; this put us in the top spot for the award.”

In November 2013 Kasch was appointed as the new general manager of mid-market Centro Sharjah, in charge for the overall management and operations of Centro Sharjah including sales and marketing, development of the company’s policies and colleagues, as well as management of all food & beverage and financial operations.
Kasch has been in the hospitality arena for over two decades, developing his career with Rotana in 2011 joining the pre-opening team of Al Ghurair Rayhaan and Arjaan Rotana as executive assistant manager, thereafter at Towers Rotana in the same position.
In an official statement, Kasch thanked the entire team at Centro for their continuous efforts and support, stating their commitment played a major role in achieving this accolade.
Centro Sharjah, located adjacent to Sharjah International Airport and close to the business districts of Sharjah, featuring 306 rooms, two F&B outlets, three meeting room facilities and a fitness centre with a swimming pool.
