Aabhas Mehrotra has been appointed by Taj Dubai to take over the reins of Tesoro, the hotel’s continental restaurant.
Mehrotra began his career in the kitchen when he graduated from Oberoi Center of Learning and Development.
He then embarked on a journey with Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra (India) where he gained experience under Michelin star chef Daniel Hebert.
Here, Mehrotra gained experience in various cooking styles, from patisserie and Thai to Italian and fine dining cuisines.
Along the way he managed to work besides another Michelin star chef - Vineet Bhatia. He has also worked with Anil Rohira (World Pastry Champion 2008), Peter Yeun and Vikas Bagul.
Throughout his career in India, Mehrotra has won several awards and culinary competitions across different cuisines and food categories.
