R Hotels has appointed Fourzone Middle East as its interior fit-out contractor for its new four-star resort and spa on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.

The 253-key property, which will be a holistic health and wellness resort, is expected to open its doors in April 2017.

The fit-out deal was signed by Samir Arora, the property’s pre-opening general manager, and Ajish Nambiar, Fourzone Middle East’s marketing director.

Fourzone Middle East has been tasked to provide the complete interior fit-out solutions for the project – from production and sourcing of furniture and soft furnishings to carrying out finishing works.

In line with its concept, the general look and feel of the hotel will be organic, using design elements like wood and earth colour elements throughout the interiors and furnishings of the property.

On the room category front R Hotels has revealed that the resort will have rooms and suites, along with executive and presidential suites on the sixth and seventh floor, and an executive lounge on the seventh floor.

With a strong focus on wellbeing, the property will feature a restaurant with a healthy menu; gym and a tennis court; an area dedicated for fitness classes; swimming pool and private beach facilities. The hotel will also have a separate spa for men and women with hamman, sauna, steam bath and treatment rooms.

Arora said: “R Hotels’ new property in Palm Jumeirah is the group’s sixth, and biggest project to date. The fit-out is crucial as it will set the overall character of the property, to convey the holistic wellness concept. We are confident, given Fourzone Middle East’s track record, that they can deliver the job efficiently and within the given time frame.”

Nambiar added: “Our team of seasoned fit-out professionals will ensure that all aspects of the projects are of the highest standards. We hope that this will be the start of a strong partnership and we aim to work with the group on its other projects in the future.”
