Laluz in the Four Seasons DIFC will mark Catalan Day this September with a month of food-inspired celebrations.

The restaurant's 'Catalan Month' will showcase various artistic and culinary elements associated with the annual national day, held on September 11.

The month-long event includes special additions to the menu, such as esqueixada de bacalao (a Catalan-style ceviche); canelón a la Catalana (a pasta dish combining spinach, ricotta and raisins); savour arróz meloso de pato con peras (aromatic duck cooked with sweet pears); hígado de pato a la brasa con cebollitas y setas (a charcoal roasted foie gras served with baby onions); espaldita de lechal con fragancia de hierbabuena (Spanish lamb shoulder slow cooked with garlic, potatoes and mint); and buñuelos (pastry fritters filled with a citrus cream, drizzled with warm chocolate sauce).

There will also be a different Catalonian cocktail on offer for each week throughout September, beginning with the Catalunya martini, and followed by the soy muy bueno, macadamia cobbler and colimbo chico.

Every Wednesday will be dedicated to the Rumba fiestas of Barcelona, with live music, dancing, cava and a set menu of pincho bites and black Catalan-style paella.

Laluz, which opened in May, will also be taking part in the annual Dubai Vine Week, running from September 18 to 24, by offering a series of tastings and food pairing experiences involving Catalonian wines and chef recommendations.
