Some of Allegrini Amenities are now halal-certified. Some of Allegrini Amenities are now halal-certified.

Eco-friendly and halal-certified Allegrini Amenities was among the hospitality offering from OS&E International at the 17th edition of The Hotel Show Dubai.

Speaking about Allegrini's hotel amenities, OS&E International operations Mohan Abraham said: “These products are 100% Italian made and they’re all ‘green’ – and their bottles are all recyclable as well.

"Allegrini is an established brand in Italy but it’s new for the region, and this is probably the only company that makes amenities that are halal certified.”

To gain this certification, products cannot contain animal derivatives or ethyl alcohol, and must be manufactured in full compliance with certain ethical and environmental codes.

Besides Allegrini Amenities, the Dubai-based suppliers and equipment's stand showcased items from Richard Ginori 1735, a company that started working with OS&E as part of expansion efforts in the Middle East.

Elaborating on how this partnership began, Richard Ginori 1735 area manager for the Middle East, Africa and Latin America Massimiliano Righi told Hotelier Middle East: “We have been based in Florence, Italy, for 281 years and, when we were bought by the Kering group - which owns brand like Gucci and Balenciaga - three years ago, we were asked to launch the company officially outside of the European market, where we were already strongly established.”

He continued: “We have two main businesses – retail and hospitality. For the latter, as policy, we only serve high-end restaurants and five-star hotels. This is the positioning of our brand, so we must be consistent.”

Eco-friendly menu holders from Italian company Dag Style, which are all made from natural products like leather and cork, were also on display at OS&E’s stand during the trade show.

Abraham told Hotelier that this product comes in 22 colours and nine different sizes.
