Huib Hendrix has been appointed by Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach as the new director of food and beverage.
He will provide strategic leadership and execution for the hotel’s food and beverage concepts, which include Fogueira Restaurant, Speakeasy Bar and Restaurant, Sama Lounge, The Lounge and the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Shores Restaurant.
Hendrix has a background in hospitality and earned his Bachelor degree in International Hospitality Management from Stenden University, Netherlands in 2009.
The Dutch national has worked at various hotel chains, mostly outside of his home country, and began his career in F&B in China as an F&B management trainee. Here, he was part of the pre-opening team of the Aloft and Fourpoints by Sheraton, Beijing Haidian.
Following this, he was assigned to the opening of Aloft Abu Dhabi, the first Aloft property in the EAME division.

In 2013, he became the F&B manager of Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates Hotel.
Prior to joining Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach, Hendrix served as F&B Manager at Dubai Marina Yacht Club, part of Emaar Hospitality Group. During his two year stint, Huib managed three F&B outlets, three meeting and conference venues, a charter yacht and outside catering.
Huib also enrolled in internationally acclaimed courses that allowed him to solidify his stance as director of food and beverage, earning certificates and licenses from Six Sigma, Covey, and the F&B Academy.
