Chef and restaurateur Farrokh Khambata has opened a new 90-cover restaurant, located at the Sofitel Dubai Downtown.
Jaan at The Penthouse is a progressive Indian restaurant and lounge, the hotel said in a statement.
The Indian national and his wife work together to open venues and this is their first venture outside of their home country.
Jaan at The Penthouse was designed by Neterwala And Aibara, an Indian architecture firm that Khambata has worked with in previous projects.
“I am extremely excited to venture into Dubai and be a part of the rising culinary wave. A lot of heart and soul was invested in this project and I can’t wait for our guests to experience an exquisite and personalized culinary experience from begging to end,” said Khambata.
Sofitel Dubai Downtown general manaer Ammar Hilal commented that Jaan at The Penthouse is one of “only a few restaurants in Dubai that offer a dining experience that touches on all senses".
