Hospitality firm Rocco Forte Hotels has revealed that its first hotel in Saudi Arabia is set for a soft opening later this month, according to sister title Arabian Business.
The opening of Assila Hotel is scheduled for November 14, and marks the beginning of the hotel group’s quest to expand its presence in the region.
Established by Sir Rocco Forte (see his interview with Hotelier Middle East here) and sister, Olga Polizzi in 1996, Rocco Forte Hotels is a family of 10 individual hotels and resorts.
Assila Hotel is located in the heart of Jeddah’s most fashionable business and shopping district and guests can now book their stays at the hotel through the Rocco Forte Hotels website, the company said in a statement.
It is the first Rocco Forte hotel to open in the Middle East, with all its previous openings in Europe.
