Home-grown company Right Bite has won SME of the Year at the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2016.

Now in its fourth year, the annual awards celebrates entrepreneurs and companies across the GCC that make an impact on the business landscape in the region.

SME of the Year recognises GCC-based businesses that have grown into household names. Additionally, the company’s continued progress toward long-term sustainability was praised.

Right Bite Nutrition and Catering Services, known for its healthy meal delivery service in the UAE (Right Bite Express) and its personalised meal plan packages, was founded in 2004 by Nathalie Haddad, who is also managing director of the company.

She commented: “This award is a wonderful testimony not only to the many milestones we have achieved, but also, to the countless challenges we have overcome and have conquered throughout the years.

"The drive, the passion, and the commitment to fulfil the high expectations from us for being a pioneer in the market never wane; awards like this only make us more inspired to innovate further and bring greater positive change to people embracing the healthy movement. I take this award as a further motivation of the potential Right Bite has yet to reach in the coming years.”

Sister publication Arabian Business received more than 400 nominations across 14 categories, such as Start Up of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year. Entries were evaluated and narrowed down to shortlisted nominees be the editorial team and from the shortlisted entries, a panel of industry experts selected this year’s winners.
