IMG Worlds of Legends will sit adjacent to IMG Worlds of Adventure and have six global entertainment brands that have chosen Dubai and IMG Worlds as the home of their first  theme park, as well as two from the existing theme park, making it one of the biggest global licensing deals of its kind, developer Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari (IMG) Group said.

The new park comprises nine ‘zones’ spread across two million square feet of temperature controlled space with a retractable roof.

It will feature futuristic interactive rollercoasters and rides, water-based attractions and live entertainment, IMG said.

Attractions will include characters from global brands, such as Nickelodeon – including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob SquarePants; Ubisoft– including Assassin’s Creed and Raving Rabbids; Saban Brands, including Power Rangers; Mattel – including Barbie doll, Bob the Builder and Thomas & Friends; Pokémon; the Animé Zone, and Cartoon Network and Lost Valley, whose characters are already represented at IMG Worlds of Adventure.

IMG Worlds of Legends will also feature 104,000 square feet of food and beverage space and 102,000 square feet of shops and merchandise.

IMG Worlds of Legends will connect to IMG Worlds of Adventure via a sky bridge that will double as a gateway to the park, the company said. There will also be a pedestrian walkway, allowing easy transit between the two parks.

Guests will be able to purchase tickets to each park separately or choose a multiple park pass for the ultimate day out for families and friends.

Owners of the IMG Group Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari said: “We are building on the success of IMG Worlds of Adventure with the next phase of growth – IMG Worlds of Legends. We are committed to bringing the boldest, most dynamic attractions to Dubai, combining innovative rides with value entertainment for the whole family.”
