The Carlson Rezidor Group will no longer manage the Radisson Blu Downtown hotel, located on Al Asayel Street, Business Bay.
Millennium & Copthorne, Middle East and Africa (MEA) has announced that it will operate the former Carlson Rezidor property.
The hotel will be flagged under the company's M hotel brand - and will henceforth be called the M Hotel Downtown by Millennium.
This is the company's first hotel under the M moniker, which Millennium & Copthorne says indicates towards continued strategic expansion for the hotel group across the region.
A company spokesperson said: "The M Hotel brand has been conceptualised to bring quality and accessibility to the mid-market business segment and as the largest business destination in the GCC, there are clear opportunities for it in Dubai. Travelers are increasingly looking for spacious accommodation that offers excellent value for money alongside a full range of business and recreation facilities. We believe that M Hotel Downtown will fully cater towards these needs to quickly become one of the top choices for your business travelers to Dubai."
A statement also clarified stating: "There is no change in ownership of this property and the Group ensures guests that the days-to-day operations, services and quality will remain."
Millennium & Copthorne has set a target to reach 100 hotels by 2020.
