The Park Inn Muscat hotel recognised Omani staff for their loyalty, performance and motivating others.
Khalifa Al Siyabi was awarded for his decade long loyalty of service. Al Siyabi started his career as a housekeeping attendant and was later promoted to supervisor level.
He then transferred to the accounts department as a bill collector.
The hotel groomed Al Siyabi, shifting him to the sales department. Today he represents the property as the sales manager in charge of government, ministries and corporate accounts.
Another Omani talent - Mohammed Al Ghusaini – was awarded for five years in service.
The PRO manager works in the human resource department and was also awarded as the 'Employee of the Year 2016 Heart of the House' for his work behind the scenes.
The hotel general manager Nuno Neves said: "Omanization is our top priority. We encourage Omanis to enter the hospitality industry and we help them to develop their skills. In order to succeed, we partner with schools, such as Oman Tourism College for on the job trainings. One of our brand promise is to develop talents within our company - we grow talent and in turn, the talent grows us."
