Alila Jabal Akhdar has commissioned the highest via ferrata in the Middle East.

The property which is situated 2,000 meters above sea-level in the Al Hajar mountain range in Oman, has drawn on its surroundings to offer guests the chance to see the region with several new trails for exploration ranging from treks to a via-ferrata – (protected climbing route).

Offering different experiences at Level 2 and Level 5, the adventure activity has been designed keeping varying needs and physical capabilities in mind.

Alila released a statement which said, “all treks were built according to international standards and all guides/instructors are Omanis”.

The treks will be led by expert guides who share stories of the local region whilst assisting with the climb. The Level 5 activity is priced at US$ 90++ (OMR 35++) per person for a 2-hour experience.

The Level 2 adventure trail is priced at US$ 78++ (OMR 30++) per person for a 90 minute experience.
