The licensed venue at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel offers tapas as well as traditional Spanish dishes and cocktails as well as molecular cuisine. Along with diners, Espana is aimed at Deira’s post-work crowd.
The 6,600-sqft space features an outdoor terrace, draws on Spanish décor and aims to replicate visuals usually found in Barcelona and Ibiza through the use of a high-definition LED screen wall that circles the larger part of the venue.
Espana Lounge director Amir Mahtani was born and raised in Spain and graduated from Les Roches hospitality school. “I want to give my guests a new experience. Espana is a teleportation to Spain itself and the different rooms combined with the music, food and drinks will make guests feel as though they have walked through Madrid, Barcelona and Andalusia all at once.”
