In keeping with the focus of this year's Arabian Travel Market (ATM), hotels are investing in expertiential tourism.

The Experience Concierge at Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah will engage with guests creating personalised itineraries based on their preferences and interests. The programme is designed around four key pillars highlighting the essence of desert life and Bedouin culture; the Art of Falconry, Equestrian and Camel rides, Nature and Environment activities, and the Ritz Rangers programme for young guests.

Featuring recreation activities ranging from adventure to relaxation, a Ritz Kids programme and destination dining, the newly introduced programme endeavours to ensure that guests of all ages and interests are catered to.
Guests can explore the wildlife at the hotel’s nature reserve by joining the tours and walking trails to learn about the local fauna and flora, plant their own Ghaf tree or attend a show to immerse themselves in the Bedouins’ ancient lifestyle and learn about their relationships with birds of prey.
Additional activities such as an introduction to archery and sunset camel trails in the desert are some of the many recreational activities guests can look forward to during their stay.

For the more adventurous, the extensive range of activities also includes dune bashing and mountain trekking at the nearby Jebel Jais Mountain ending with sunset views over the valley of Wadi Khadeija.

Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah general manager Amit Arora said in statement: “The connection to nature is omnipresent at Al Wadi Desert, where guests enjoy a slower pace, and ultimate tranquillity in their villa as well as around the reserve. Whether on a bike or walking on the resort’s pathways, we want this resort to offer a perfect spot to enjoy quality time with family in an environment that combines exploration, discovery and relaxation.”

With 101 private luxury pool villas, two restaurants and two bars, Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah, a Ritz-Carlton Partner Hotel, intends to provide guests with authentic Arabian hospitality within the surroundings of a private nature reserve.
Guests have the option to pre-book their activities online based on a panel of choices available through the resort’s website, or book directly upon check-in when they are introduced to the Experience Concierge.
