The first Zafran Indian Bistro in Riyadh is now open.

Located in Rubeen Plaza, on Exit 2 of the Northern Ring Road in Hittin, the Indian restaurant serves north west Indian cuisine.

“Zafran has established very strong credentials in the region and we are looking forward to replicating the success we have seen in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait here in the Kingdom,” said Richard Barclay, COO of Foodmark.

“Our decision to open in Rubeen Plaza, which has already established itself as a dining destination of choice, was a conscious one and we are excited to continue to be a part of Riyadh’s vibrant food scene with a one-of-a-kind homegrown Indian food concept that is certain to resonate with both expatriates and Saudi nationals,” he added.

The new restaurant differs from the other Zafran outlets in the region by displaying an art installation depicting the arts and history of India juxtaposed with local images. It was created exclusively for the venue by Arab artist Jeffar Khaldi.
