Omar Basiony will lead the culinary team as chef de cuisine at Traiteur, the signature French restaurant at Park Hyatt Dubai.
Chef Omar, who is Egyptian, grew up in Chicago and spent summers in Padova, Italy, working in a small osteria, inspiring him to pursue a career as a chef.
With a keen focus on fine dining and a strong desire to travel, Chef Omar has worked at Michelin star restaurants throughout Chicago, Boston and Paris. His journey has also spanned Spain, France, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea and Japan, allowing him to immerse himself in local cultures and discover new and diverse culinary customs and techniques.
Moving back to the Middle East, Chef Omar came to Dubai, broadening his expertise and working in dining destinations including La Serre and Zuma.
Now at the Park Hyatt Dubai, Chef Omar brings to Traiteur nearly a decade of experience, knowledge and an elevated new menu.
