Dunes Hotel Apartments Oud Metha has been recognised as the Hotelier Express Serviced Apartment Team of the Year 2017 in the inaugural awards ceremony.
The long-term operations team at Gloria Hotels & Resorts was highly commended in this category, while seeing off the competition such as Al Waleed Palace Hotel Apartments and First Central Hotel Suites.
In 2016, the winning property won two international awards and excellence awards from the likes of Trip Advisor, Booking.com and Hotels Combined – rooted in firm numbers which include a 94% occupancy in the last year with positive guest comments and review scores.
Speaking to Hotelier Express on the night, the property's general manager Faisal Abdul Rahman: "It was pure teamwork! We had great customer service which has brought loyal guests back to us, and it was all about the service."
He said that despite being an independent brand located in a crowded area, and dealing with rate wars, the property has been successful.
