The Holiday Inn Express Dubai Airport hotel team won the award in the one- and two-star hotel team category.

The team managed to achieve its target and increased YTY figures for its guest satisfaction score target. The hotel also successfully passed the IHG Quality Evaluation Audit with an average of 93% that includes (service standard, product, brand safety standard, cleanliness and hotel condition)

“The IHG Winning Metrics [which takes into account all aspects of a hotel’s operation from revenue to cleanliness] is a target for all IHG hotels. And we work hard to achieve all of them as specified by IHG,” said members from the winning team.

The Holiday Inn Express also ranked the highest in terms of average training hours per employee among all Holiday Inn Express hotels in the UAE.

The hotel also topped the revenue index YTY amongst its fellow Holiday Inn properties in the country.

“It’s all about team work, which involves the full involvement of all members whether its driving revenue, guest satisfaction.

“2017 has started of very well, and the first two months have been very successful. Our owning company always invests in our hotel to ensure we have the best product in the market. This year we are scheduled for renovation, which is something that will ultimately add to our guest satisfaction,” a member from the team said.

The hotel opened in February 2010 with a total staff of 120 associates. The 381-room hotel also has five rooftop meeting rooms with space for up to 171 delegates.

The hotel edged out its counterparts from the Holiday Inn Express Dubai Safa Park who were the other nominees in the category.

The award was presented to the hotel team by A. Ronai managing director Gavin Dodd.
