Syrup manufacturer Monin has launched four new syrups at Gulfood 2017.

“We are launching new flavours – cherry and pineapple. We have also launched cloudy lemon syrup with stevia as a sweetener, and finally we have the cheesecake syrup as well,” Monin MEIA trade marketing manager Pierre Fraboulet told Caterer at Gulfood 2017.

“At Gulfood 2016, we launched the popcorn and doughnut syrup, which are indulgent dessert flavours that did very well from the get go. So the R&D team that’s based across three continents along with our dedicated beverage managers, along with the efforts of our entire team launched the cheesecake flavour as a complementary flavour to the two we launched last year,” he added.

He also revealed that Monin is launching a new smart device application: “We are also launching a new Monin inspirational app at Gulfood 2017, which is open for download on Apple Appstore and Google Playstore. The app is focused on B2B side of beverage production and targeted towards baristas and bartenders.”

The app lets users find official Monin recipes, with all the instructions and steps involved in a beverage’s preparation.

"It’s been developed by our team in the USA, and it was an ongoing process for nine months. The idea is to have something simple for bartenders and baristas to use. There is a sense of community as well, as we allow professionals to enrol themselves, put your recipe and so forth," he added.
