He added, "Khor Al Adaid  has pristine beauty and natural coastal areas. The place, however, lacks necessary facilities like hotels and recreational facilities. The place also suffers from poor mobile phone network. We need to sort out these issues and develop Al Khor as one of the prime tourist destinations of Qatar."

Sheikh Hamad  also urged the activation of the single tourist visa system among GCC countries as well as the new visa system announced by Qatar Airways in collaboration with the Qatar Ministry of Interior. He also advocated the revitalisation of the exhibition sector and the streamlining of measures for the licensing of new hotels.

Sheikh Hamad said that collaboration among the relevant government authorities and the private sector is crucial for Qatar's tourism development potential.
