The chefs at Park Rotana showcased their skills in various competitions and won five medals at the Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire held at the Gulfood exhibition 2017.

Amidst competition from regional chefs, Park Rotana kitchen artist Henry Delara dominated the Vegetable and Ice Carving categories and won the gold medals for both.

Ashraful Alam took the silver medal in the Australian Beef Practical Cookery category whilst Chaminda Bandara received the bronze medal in the same group.

Arlene Catalan impressed the judges in the Sustainable Fish and Seafood Practical Cookery category and went away with a bronze medal.

Commenting on the distinction received by his team, Park Rotana executive chef Thijs Van Rhoon said: “As always, it has been a fantastic experience to be part of the Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire and have our chefs present their talent in the competition. We are extremely proud of their achievements and we certainly look forward to competing again next year and winning more awards.”
