The initiative allowed staff in management roles to experience the daily routines of their colleagues in various departments with the aim of gaining a greater understanding of the chalenges and rewards that come with each role.
Fairmont Bab Al Bahr general manager Eddy Tannous took part in the initiative and joined engineering team where he performed a wide range of essential tasks. As a doorman, director of human resources Mohammed Najeeb tried to create a good first impression and director of engineering Gary De Leon stretched his talents in housekeeping department where he was responsible for cleaning the guest rooms. Director of revenue Iraida Khon was in charge of inspecting and sorting the fabrics in laundry department and director of finance Elona Cuci took over the fitness centre operations while director of PR and communications Sayad Ibrahimli assisted the recreations team in welcoming the guests.
Tannous said: “The changing face of business environment requires the alterations in leadership views and responsibilities. The best way to progress is to constantly adapt ways of thinking and organisational cultures.”
