City Centre Rotana Doha's restaurant Teatro, in partnership with Emirates Airlines, is hosting a Vietnamese Food Week promotion featuring 'Iron Chef' Michael Bao Huynh from March 26 until April 2.

The week-long event is being presided by the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar, and His Excellency Nguyen Hoang, ambassador extraordinary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

“It is a real pleasure for us to host Chef Michael Bao at Teatro, and a privilege indeed to be collaborating with such esteemed partners in such venture”, said City Centre Rotana Doha general manager Martin Kendall. “It not only makes for an incredible culinary experience for our guests, but it is also a great opportunity for a unique cultural exchange”.

“We are delighted to support an event that highlights the distinct flavours of one of our Far East destinations. Emirates flies to two destinations in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City and we recently launched Hanoi last year. We hope that Vietnamese Food Week at City Centre Rotana inspires people to travel to this one-of-a-kind destination,” said Emirates manager for Qatar Tariq Almutawa.

In collaboration with Teatro's chefs, Huynh is serving an a la carte menu throughout the week, with other events lined up including a Vietnamese cooking class, a five-course a la carte dinner and a ladies' dinner.

Huynh is one of the most celebrated chefs when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine. Among his accomplishments, he has won Iron Chef Vietnam 2013, acquired a Michelin Bib in 2011 and 2012 (for OBAO NYC) and a Michelin star at Cocoon Club, Frankfurt.
