ADA Pacific Direct general manager Robert Dupree said the company is set to launch new products that address housekeepers' needs.

The company is preparing to launch Penhaligons Halfeti and Elemis White Lotus and Lime ranges of amenities for the industry, and will also look at more product ranges suitable for the three- and four-star market.

Some of the main challenges facing housekeepers in 2017, said Dupree, include costs, fall in RevPAR and new regulations. He also listed meeting clients' expectations and catering for larger tourist groups as issues that housekeepers will be paying attention to this year.

Major international events such as the Expo 2020 in Dubai and FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar are events on the horizon that excite the company about the opportunities in the region's hospitality industry, he reported.

"As a major supplier in the Middle East the Executive Housekeeper Forum is an excellent opportunity for us to meet with all the housekeepers that we supply and also meet new potential customers and introduce them to our product range," Dupree told Hotelier.
