Katsuya. Katsuya.

Japanese restaurant Katsuya by Starck has opened its doors at the newly opened Jumeirah Al Naseem. The restaurant will see a partnership between master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi and designer Philippe Starck. At Katsuya, chef Uechi usues traditional Japanese flavors for the American palate.

The menu features dishes like crispy rice with spicy tuna, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, miso-marinated black cod, and wagyu filet with foie gras. The drinks menu includes the burning mandarin that is part spicy part sweet, or the watermelon cucumber mojito.

Located in the spectacular Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel with views of Dubai’s Burj Al Arab, guests at Katsuya by Starck can choose to be seated outdoors, adjacent to the turtle lagoon, indoors at the sushi bar, or in the bar and restaurant area.

The interiors of the restaurant are designed by Philippe Starck.

Katsuya is located in the same area as NYC's Black Tap, known for its burgers and creative milkshakes and Italian restaurant Il Borro Tuscan.
