The Charles in Munich

The Charles Hotel is a stylish new-build property, designed by Olga Polizzi to reflect its location. There is Bavarian limestone on the floors, ceramic artwork from Nymphenburg porcelain in the bathrooms and original paintings by Munich's celebrated nineteenth century portrait artist Franz von Lenbach in the bedrooms. At the Prix Villegiature awards ceremony in October 2008, the hotel won the "Best Hotel Architecture in Europe" category.

Located in central Munich with views out to the Bavarian Alps and overlooking the old botanical gardens, the hotel confidently asserts itself as a haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of the city.

The Monforte Suite boasts a grand piano and views of the Bavarian Alps.

The Charles has more than 660m² of conference and banqueting facilities with seven large conference rooms accommodating groups of 60 people.

A spiral staircase links the ground floor reception area with the conference rooms on the first floor while a split-level ballroom caters to 160 people for a sit down dinner and 250 people for a drinks reception.

All rooms have been soundproofed and feature dedicated work stations with the latest technology, including high-speed internet access. For something extra special, the stunning presidential suite can be combined with a further three suites, creating an entire private floor of 455m² with amazing views of the Bavarian Alps.
