As Jones the Grocer prepares to open their 23rd international location they have announced the appointment of Peter Green into a new role of development chef.
The aim of this role is to further develop the food offering in Jones the Grocer, make sure that the menu is scalable across different global regions while keeping the dishes on trend.
Jones the Grocer CEO, Yunib Siddiqui commented: “We have been lucky to remain competitive in the UAE market place for the last eight years but with our global brand acquisition last year and new franchise interest in the Far East and Europe, we need to make sure that we have a menu that is relatable and adaptable. Peter has a depth of knowledge and experience that are really going to help bring us into the next phase of the business.”
Green is well-suited for the role having spent nearly a decade in culinary management, training and development. Originally from South Africa, Peter holds a diploma in professional cooking and baking from the Institute of Culinary Arts in Stellenbosch. Green has worked with some of Cape Town and London’s top chefs at restaurants including the Mount Nelson Hotel, Chez Bruce, The Ledbury and Chelsea Arts Club.
