Swiss-Belhotel International has opened the Marina Plaza Hotel by Swiss-Belhotel, its second property in Aqaba, Jordan, following the Grand Swiss-Belresort Tala Bay Aqaba.
Located along the coast of Tala Bay, the four-star resort has 260 rooms, each of which has a private balcony with views of the pool, mountains or the marina.
The property also offers an international all-day-dining restaurant, a pool bar, an outdoor swimming pool, a separate kids’ pool and a full-service spa offering an range of health and beauty treatments.
Guests can also enjoy daily recreation activities such as aqua aerobics and yoga or take advantage of a free shuttle service to the centre of Aqaba. Petra is accessible by a day trip while Wadi Rum is one hour away.

This is part of an agreement between Swiss-Belhotel International and Jordan Projects for Tourism Development (JPTD), which will see the operator co-manage JPTD’s existing three hotels in Aqaba as well as its future portfolio of properties.
Swiss-Belhotel International currently has more than 3,500 rooms under development in destinations across the Middle East; its development pipeline reportedly corresponds to 17% of the operator's global portfolio.
