Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah has unveiled Le Diwan, a new addition to the hotel's current choice of dining venues.
Le Diwan, an Arabesque lounge dedicated to traditional shisha and Arabic cuisine, will offer a variety of mezzeh, Arabic juices and hot beverages. The new outlet is located directly above the hotel's lobby lounge, Peacock Alley. Le Diwan is a fully air-conditioned and ventilated venue with views out towards the hotel's grand chandeliers and marble fountain, designed by Gill Wilson.
The outlet also features live Arabic sports league broadcasts, popular TV shows and complimentary games, such as backgammon.
“The concept aim of Le Diwan is to diversify the current dining offers available at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khiamah and to connect with the local culture. We will launch various promotions on a monthly basis and adapt the venue's offers to fit the latest trends and wishes of our guests. The inspiration for Le Diwan comes predominantly from guest demand, where we noticed that guests were asking for an indoor venue to enjoy shisha," said Waldorf Ras Al Khaimah director of food & beverage Orsolya Meszaros.
