Oman is set to open a new water park by the end of this year in Dhofar: Hawana Aqua Park.

A statement from Oman's Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Nasser Hamad Al Mahrizi revealed its location and opening date. 

Arabian Business shared the statement, revealing that the water park will include water slides, leisure pools for guests to unwind, a toddlers’ pool, pool-front cabins, sliding swimming pools, wave pools, and a main tower.

With a total land area exceeding 65,000 square metres, the development will feature a food court, a retail shopping area, and a large parking area.

The town in which it's located, Hawana Salalah, has more than 900 hotel rooms, including those from the Salalah Rotana Resort, Fanar Hotel & Residences, Juweira Boutique Hotel and the Souly Lodge. Its facilities include a 170-berth super-yacht marina, restaurants and cafés and a range of water and land activities.
