Bed and mattress manufacturer from India, SpringFit Mattresses & Sleep Systems, is deploying a two-pronged strategy to win over hospitality clients, all the while keeping sustainable development in mind, company director Nipun Gupta revealed ahead of SpringFit's sponsorship of the 2017 Hotelier Express Summit, scheduled on November 22 at Grosvenor House, Dubai.

Speaking to Hotelier Express, Gupta said that the company is continuing to supply its premium product range to luxury hotels but is also focusing on a secondary line for budgetary mid segment hotels.
" We are using MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) based foam in our hospitality mattresses, which is eco-friendly vis-a-vis using a toluene diisocyanate (TDI) base. Consequentlly, the hospitality range has a better feel, enhanced breathability and advanced fire retardant fabric in the mattresses."

With the company's investment in the latest technology and machines, he added, SpringFit mattresses and beds are manufactured inhouse and not outsourced, thereby ensuring global consistency of its products.

Gupta stated that he keeps in close touch with the issues and challenges facing his hotel clients in the Middle East, remaining mindful of the pressure to keep operating costs low while realising that the industry is pivoting towards a greater use of eco-friendly products.

"Our R & D team will continue to work towards innovation and producing great quality mattresses, mattresses to harness comfort, health and fitness, while keeping sustainability in mind," he said.

With the evolution of the region's hospitality industry and the emergence of more budget-friendly mid-market hotels, Gupta stressed that events such as the Hotelier Express Summit are needed by the sector in its ongoing development.

"It is imperative to support the Hotelier Express Summit 2017 for better development of the industry and better global visibility as well," he said. "More importantly, it is important to further develop the mid-market sector for the Middle East with mega-events coming such as the Expo 2020 in Dubai."
