This year marks the 5th edition of the Caterer Middle East Power 50. The list is an opportunity to recognise the top players in the regional F&B industry. Some of the candidates have strong public profiles, others don’t however, their impact on the industry just as relevant.

Several factors were taken into account when the rankings were decided. Each entrant’s position is based on their achievements over the past 12 months as well as their future plans. Consideration was also given to each candidate’s length of service in the F&B sector and their overall standing in the regional industry. Finally, decisions were also made based on the strength of the information submitted to the editorial team by each candidate.

In the pages that follow, you’ll find people whose efforts, dedication and impact on the industry have caught the attention of the Caterer Middle East team. Were there tough decisions? Yes. Are there people we would have liked to include but were obliged to leave out? Of course. It’s only natural that not everyone will agree with what has been decided because, just like our industry, a significant part of it is subjective.

With all of this in mind, I hope you will join us in celebrating and congratulating the members of our 2017 Power 50.
