Etihad to suspend flights to Tehran. Etihad to suspend flights to Tehran.

Etihad Airways has announced its decision to suspend flights from Abu Dhabi and Tehran, Iran’s capital. The suspension will go into effect on January 24, 2018.

In a statement, Etihad said that its five weekly flights to Tehran will be reduced to two from December 25, 2017 to January 23, 2018.

"The airline regrets any inconvenience that this change will cause to guests with existing bookings," the statement from Etihad added.

Travellers with bookings to Tehran up to January 23, 2018 who are affected the change in schedule will be rebooked into alternative flights subjective to availability or refunded in full. Those holding tickets for flights after January 24 will be offered a full refund.

The flight suspension to Tehran follows Etihad’s announcement earlier in 2017 to suspend services to US cities San Francisco and Dallas-Fort Worth.
