Through connectivity with an existing property management system, Interel’s EMS can save energy in guest rooms that are not checked into, and also ensure that a room is pre-conditioned for personalised comfort when the next guest checks in. Aside from its hospitality-focused design with customised glass and large icons for maximum usability, as well as sensors for temperature and humidity, the connectBsmart Thermostat also features built-in sensors for motion detection. This means hoteliers can automatically save additional energy when the guest is out of the room without any impact on their comfort. The product has been tailor-made for retrofits in existing hotels — allowing hoteliers to easily upgrade and bring their thermostats online through the hotel’s existing WiFi network.
