Kishmish, claiming to be Dubai’s first "gourmet Afghan street and soul food restaurant", will open in Dubai’s Dar Al Wasl mall in February 2018.
The 48-seat eatery has been created by three Afghan women - Iman, Fatima and Homaira - who founded the concept to share the "sights, sound and flavours" of Kabul through food.
The menu offers dishes such as traditional Afghan rice, mantu (stuffed Afghan dumplings), kitchree kourout (a soft rice dish made with lentils and topped with minced meat, fried onions, dry mind and dried yoghurt sauce), kababs and skewers straight from the charcoal, Afghan halwa and much more.
