Khyber Indian restaurant at Dukes Dubai has launched a thali tasting concept. The tasting includes a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian option.
The menu, inspired by the traditional North Indian concept, will offer guests the ability to sample a wide variety of starters, main course and desserts in one plate.
The dish’s signature highlights include tandoori raan, baby lamb leg seasoned with Khyber spiced marinade and cooked in a clay oven; reshmi prawn, prawns marinated with spices and cooked in the tandoor, vegetable biryani. The dish also features four types of rotis or bread.
The dessert selection includes: rasmalai, cottage cheese dumplings served in sweetened flavoured milk topped with pistachio and almonds, and gajar ka halwa, a dessert made of grated carrots, almonds, raisins slow cooked in sweetened milk.
The vegetarian thali is priced at AED 150 per person (US $41) and the non-vegetarian thali is priced AED 195 ($53). The restaurant, which is located on the Palm Jumeirah, can seat up to 162 guests including 40 on the terrace.
