Dubai Safari will shut its doors for the next four months beginning on May 15 as it undergoes an upgrade, its management announced on Saturday, according to a report in Arabian Business.

In anticipating of an expected increase in demand, the Dubai Safari’s “embellishment” programme will see the Safari add more engagement programmes and interactive experiences for visitors, as well as more climatised areas for animals. 

“In line with our commitment to offering a superior customer experience, the upgrades seek to provide a better habitat for our animals, and a more interactive and educational experience for our visitors,” the Dubai Safari management team said in a statement.

“We are confident that our landmark destination will help attract even higher numbers of tourists to Dubai once it reopens after the summer.”

The tourist attraction will reopen again on October 1.
