Emirates Park Zoo & Resort will launch a kids’ summer camp this year and will offer a variety of activities which are aimed at developing a healthier lifestyle.

The activities will feature several zoo adventures, including animal encounters and interactions, educational programmes, drumming, drawing, painting, martial arts, badminton, table tennis, dancing, video games, programming, electronics, and robotics.

The camp itinerary will also highlight life survival skills, first aid training, safety and security, nutrition, as well as teach participating children values by H.H Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, former Ruler of UAE, in honour of his legacy, a statement from the hotel said.

Emirate Park Zoo marketing manager Naima Mahmoudi said the camp also wants to focus on teaching children social skills. He said: “This programme will also educate the children about the wildlife nature, their responsibilities and allowing them to develop essential social skills with the other fellow campers.”

The camp will start on July 1, 2018 and last through August 31, 2018. The daily costs at AED 199 (US $54.18) per child or AED 800 ($217.81) weekly and will operate Sunday to Thursday from 8 am to 2 pm. The camp, open to children between the ages 4-14, can apply for the programme through the hotel’s website or via email.
